What is a typical service?

We generally offer a traditional style worship for contemporary minds. In other words, our faith is over 2000 years old, our thinking is not. We value and use many customs from our rich faith history. However, we are also always seeking what God is speaking to us in these times, and new methods of spiritual engagement.

Throughout most of the year, we offer two worship services every Sunday morning. Early worship is at 8 a.m. This is a quiet, meditative service that does not include music. The length of the service is approximately 40 minutes. We do use liturgy, often with congregational participation. So, this is not an entirely silent worship.

The 10:30 a.m. service includes music sung by the congregation; and special music sung by our choir, or soloists. We consider our music selection a somewhat hybrid mix of hymns that may have been around for centuries, and inspirational music from our modern times. The length of this service is approximately 60 minutes.

During the Summer months we offer one service at 9am. Please consult our church office, website calendar, and Facebook page for detailed dates.

In any worship, please know that you can dress in whatever way you feel helps you connect to the experience of worship. For some folks this will mean the clothes you wore to work the night shift you are just coming home from. For others,  this will mean a soft, cozy hoodie, and comfortable shoes. Some may even come to worship after their morning workout. Others will put on their favorite seasonal dress, and put flowers in their hat.  You get the idea, we are just glad you are here and know God is pleased also. That is more important than  the color of your socks.

Our sermons and childrens messages are presented with a scriptural foundation and made applicable to daily living.

We recently installed large screens in our sanctuary and Narthex (entrance area) . We are excited to discover with you how they will enhance the worship experience.

UPDATE: Please note that during the COVID-19 Pandemic we are following all guidelines and orders as best as possible. This means that under certain restrictions our worship services will be online. At other times masks and distancing will be required within an onsite worship. Please contact the church office, use our website calendar, and check out our Facebook page to stay up to date on that information.
